Hope Just

Oil Paintings

"I acquired a love of art early in my life. Sand piles, mud pies, and crayons became fun expressions of my imagination. Later in my career art became a tool for learning in my kindergarten classroom. When listing something on our chart of beginning sounds, I would draw a quick sketch of that animal or thing to help the children learn. And even later, after retirement, art became my focus in life. It has brought a zest for learning and creating that has filled my days with beauty and joy."

Hope Just is an artist that uses realistic genre in her oil, acrylic paintings, or sketches. Her preferred goal is to make her art believable and clearly understood to the observer. Another objective is to inspire the observer to see beauty through the use of light and shadow, drawing them into the content of the subject matter whether it is a nature scene or a person.
